InfraGaitor is an ultralight multispectral neck gaiter made from an elastic knit engineered to reduce the thermal signature of the face and neck. The textile modulates IR reflectivity and helps suppress prominent hotspots that typically appear around the mouth, nose, and forehead on modern thermal imagers. The knit is breathable, self-sterilizing, and comfortable for all-day wear. Its tubular construction adapts to various face shapes and is fully compatible with helmets, eye protection, comms headsets, and ballistic gear.
The fabric provides a soft, skin-friendly touch and wicks moisture quickly, making it suitable for operators working day or night, in hot or cold environments. InfraGaitor functions as a stand-alone IR-reducing layer or as a complementary accessory to the InfraGhillie system. It reduces facial detectability in thermal imaging while allowing natural breathing without fogging.
In practical use, the face no longer appears as a bright thermal hotspot. The knit helps equalize surface temperature, while the self-sterilizing treatment resists odor during extended wear. InfraGaitor is ideal for covert movement, observation posts, gear manipulation, and long-duration field operations.
