LegCovers are multispectral leg covers designed for the modern battlefield, where masking the torso alone is no longer sufficient. Lower extremities are among the strongest thermal emitters and often become the first detectable hotspots under thermal imaging, revealing position before the rest of the body.
The covers are manufactured from InfraHex material and enhanced with 3D camouflage foliage, breaking up the outline and reducing detectability across the visual, NIR, and IR spectra.
Each cover measures 60 × 80 cm and weighs 350 g. The full-length front hook-and-loop closure allows rapid donning without removing boots. The covers are secured using crocodile clips to the upper trouser area or belt and remain stable during running, crawling, and extended movement. A boot-under strap keeps the cover properly indexed at all times. The material is waterproof yet breathable, allowing use in rain, wet grass, or mud without heat buildup.
In operational use, the legs no longer present a dominant thermal hotspot. The covers equalize thermal contrast with the surrounding environment and limit heat reflection toward thermal sensors. During stalking, movement, or static positioning, LegCovers complement InfraGhillie systems and significantly reduce overall silhouette readability.
